I am convinced that the "morality" behind the sexual double-standard comes from ancient superstitions connecting sexually-transmitted diseases with evil spirits. There is also a huge amount of psycho-social baggage tied up in our gender-differentiated anatomies. In general, men hold no secrets, while women contain mysteries which could be either delightful or deadly. Uncertainty is a source of fear. And fear breeds prejudice.

Education is the cure for superstition. Enlightened and open practice of safe sex removes fear. Cleanliness is godliness.
Your body is a temple. You must feel free to worship there. If we treat sex as a holy sacrament, it still can be freely given and received. It is appropriate to include acts in our sexual ritual which make us feel safe and empowered to give our best to the shared experience.
